Welcome to the MaranaTha Retreat House website!<\/h1>\n

The house is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Mecsek mountains, 10 km from the historic city of P\u00e9cs. The silence of the forest and the meaningful programs provide great opportunities for prayer, relaxation and recharging. Individuals, groups and families are welcome.<\/p>\n

Next to the convent of the Discalced Carmelite Sisters of All Saints (Magyarsz\u00e9k) is the former Banus Farm, which was purchased by the sisters in 2019 with the support of the government of Hungary. The MaranaTha Retreat House has been run by a community of four Sisters of the Sacred Heart Society\/Sacr\u00e9 Coeur since 15 October 2021. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the realisation of this collaboration between the Carmelite Sisters and the Sisters of the Sacre Coeur (http:\/\/szentszivtarsasag.hu\/). This has been for us an experience of the powerful collaboration of Divine Providence and the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

From the MaranaTha house you can reach the Carmelite convent by a forest walk or a short drive. The monastery’s prayer hours and Holy Masses are open to the public.
